Sales Associate

Schedule:

  • Monday – Thursday, 6:30 AM – 5:30 PM
  • One-hour unpaid lunch break
  • Opportunity for overtime on Fridays as needed

Position Overview:

We’re seeking a Trailer Sales Associate who thrives in a high-energy, fast-paced environment and has the ability to stay calm and positive even in the face of rejection. This role is perfect for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset who’s eager to learn, grow, and build a rewarding career in sales. You’ll focus heavily on outbound prospecting while also managing inbound leads, with plenty of opportunities to grow with the company and increase your earnings as you develop

Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and cold-call businesses in designated territories to earn new business and maintain long-term relationships.
  • Make outbound calls to potential business customers to identify needs and schedule appointments for company leadership.
  • Respond to inbound leads from online ads, email campaigns, and social media, converting them into appointments.
  • Research and contact companies in industries that rely on trailers, building targeted call lists.
  • Maintain accurate records of calls, appointments, and customer interactions in the CRM.
  • Coordinate with the sales team to ensure smooth handoff of qualified leads.
  • Follow up with prospects to nurture interest and maintain relationships.
  • Prepare emails, letters, quotes, and orders and send information to customers and prospects.
  • Handle equipment modifications, add-ons, or maintenance requests for prospective customers to close transactions. Negotiate prices and terms as appropriate, escalating approvals as needed.
  • Manage test drives or product demos of equipment to qualified customers on request.
  • Coordinate equipment delivery, process bills of sale, titles, plates, and complete pre-delivery inspections.
  • Attend manufacturer training, trade shows, and industry events as required.
  • Positively represent HD Trailer Solutions professionally and enthusiastically in every interaction.
  • Achieve weekly and monthly sales activity and revenue goals, submitting reports as required.
  • Other duties as assigned to support the sales department and company growth.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of sales, telemarketing, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities, overcome rejection, and grow within the company.
  • Comfortable making outbound calls and talking to business decision-makers.
  • Goal-oriented and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to learn product knowledge (trailers and related equipment).
  • Basic computer skills (CRM or spreadsheets for lead tracking).
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to overcome objections and stay motivated in the face of rejection.
  • Calm under pressure, resilient, and able to thrive in a fast-paced sales environment.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for growth and continuous improvement..
  • Previous experience in a commission-based or performance-driven sales role
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and be subject to random drug testing
  • Must be able to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
